Earth Hour Sydney

Earth Hour actually started in Sydney in 2007, but being the ignorant citizen that I am, this year is the first time that I participated!! Every year, for ONE HOUR, everyone turns their lights off! yeah wtf right?? so crazY!! How the hell do you live without electricity?? albeit, its only one hour, but I ahd a terrible image of my whole family sitting in darkness around the dining table with awkwardness surrounding and silence blanketing the atmosphere. Turns out, no one was in the house anyway! haha
So anyway, my friend invited me out to actually "witness" the city turning off all their lights....

yeah, the photos are really poor quality, because I had to put the night mode on, so its uber shaky and yucky looking...but...as the photos show, even the iconic landmarks of Sydney (Harbour Bridge and Opera House) turned off its light and stood in darkness in support of Earth Hour!

Its really annoying how not every single person participates (aka me, last year XD), because it really defeats the purpose of Earth Hour. As I was looking across the harbour, there were still lots of apartments sprinkled with random lights. It doesnt look nice!! hmmphhh!
Could actually see through one of the apartments...and while they turned the lights off, they left their TV on!! and their TV was really fucking massive!! Could see everything they were watching!! thank god it wasnt porn!!

Sydney, Sydney ~ Pylon Lookout

Can't afford of climb the Harbour Bridge?? hehe

Just go to the Pylon Lookout!!

Of course there's the down side: You have to climb 200 stairs up to the lookout area!! For unfit people like me, it was...trying >.<>

Awesome views of the city center and Opera House

*see the Harbour bridge really really close....and even the people climbing it!!*

87 meters above sea level!!
Best time to go??

*Playing games with the setting sun*
It doesnt open early enough to catch the sunrise, but I was told that if you go just before it closes, then you can catch the sunset ~ which made the experience ALOT better!! haha also extra bonus: nice lady only charged us for one person, since it was late and there wasnt much time left!! =)
